This Wiki is done using [JSP|http://java.sun.com/products/jsp] technology,
which hopefully makes it very easy to keep up to date and looking better than most of the Wikis based on the [original one|http://c2.com/cgi/wiki]. A custom bean handles the translation of text into HTML.
!!Outback Software
Outback Software was established in 2020 by Guy Daniel and Geoff Tollefson to collaborate on software development projects for business clients Australia-, Pacific- and World- wide. \\ \\
The name Outback evokes our core values - Resilience, Ingenuity and Effectiveness in a harsh and unpredicable environment, the ability to make the most of available resources, often surprisingly elegantly, ethically and with good (if dry) humour. Our values have a long track record of underpinning our clients' successes, time and again. \\ \\ And, we're proudly Australian, Regional Queenslanders - we love our country, whose Traditional Owners and Elders past, present and emerging we honour.

Most of the [editing markers|TextFormattingRules] have been styled according to the [Sensei's Library|http://senseis.xmp.net], the best Go sites in the Internet. I find their markup very easy, yet clear.
!!The '90s
Both graduates of [James Cook University NQ|https://www.jcu.edu.au/|target='_blank'] in [Townsville, Queensland Australia|https://www.australia.com/en/places/cairns-and-surrounds/guide-to-townsville.html|target='_blank'], with Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Guy and Geoff spent the '90s decade in Attache Accounting & Payroll Systems and PC Network / Business Technology Consultancy as partners in YearOne. The '90s saw Guy and Geoff install and support hundreds of clients' business systems across Queensland and Australia, while training and supporting YearOne's growing consultant workforce. The end of the '90s was marked by Guy and Geoff developing the first versions of [YearOne's signature PowerLink product, which is now in its 5th version|https://www.yearonesoftware.com/www/PowerLink|target='_blank'].

!!The 2000s & 2010s
In 2000s, Guy and Geoff both developed their own successful Business Technology and Attache Accounting & Payroll consultancies, and in this time have worked with, supported and developed bespoke software for numerous clients of all sizes from the World Bank and Pacific Island Governmental and Development bodies to multinational and publicly listed corporations, many of our own local Queensland business community, and businesses and Attache Consultancies around Australia. Geoff moved back to YearOne from 2014-2020 as PowerLink Product Manager.
!!Today
On the instigation of a major software development project with several others on the horizon, we created Outback Software Pty Ltd, to carry on over 30 years of continuous service each to the wider business community bringing effective and supportable systems to benefit our clients in the 2020s and beyond.
